How publishing works

Publishing is the one moment something private becomes public. It is always deliberate, and always yours to undo.

Nothing is public until you publish it

Your conversations, drafts, and notes are private by default. They are not visible to other people, and they are never published automatically.

Publishing takes a snapshot

When you publish, X^nth captures a snapshot of exactly the turns and content you selected at that moment. This has two important consequences:

Private edits never leak. Changes you make to the private original afterward do not alter the published copy.
Unpublishing is clean. Removing a publication removes the public copy entirely — the public version is not a live mirror of private data.

You choose the context

When you publish, you decide what surrounds the content — your commentary, annotations, tags, and which artifacts to attach. Published items can show authorship and date so your record is legible and attributable.

You can unpublish

You can unpublish or delete published items according to platform policy. Where content has been shared or cached externally, removal applies going forward; see our Privacy Policy for details on deletion and export.

Reading is open

Published conversations are part of a public record and are readable without an account — that openness is the point. What stays private stays private; what you publish, you publish for everyone.
